TODAY'S NEWS HEADLINES for INDEPENDENT VOTERS

The Arizona news media is still publishing articles about huge numbers of independent voters registering in Arizona. Sending the editors of the newspapers who print this propaganda the correct statistics for independent voter registration in the state does nothing to deter them. Their arrangement with the parties is to keep out of the news media the recent removal of the option to register independent from the Arizona voter registration form.
The correct numbers for independent registrations since 2000 are these:
2000-2002 107,715
2002-2004 165,771
2004-2006 26,483
So I have begun to tell them this little story. In 1943 in the city of Hamburg, Germany, a boy invited his friend over to his house to listen to BBC on the radio. This was unlawful in Nazi Germany, but the boys had decided to do it anyway. The boy with the radio, also having access to a printing press, proposed to the other boy that they print a newsletter giving the BBC account of the news, since the German news media version of events of the war was far different. They enlisted the help of another boy from school in distributing the newsletter in their working class neighborhood. Needless to say, the Gestapo was not happy about the newsletter. It took them some time to apprehend the boys because they were expending all of their manpower looking for a Communist cell, and were astonished to find that the perpetrators were three sixteen year old boys.
The boy with the radio was tried for treason, sentenced to death, and executed by guillotine. The other two boys were convicted on lesser charges and sentenced to ten and three years in prison, which they served in various prison camps before being liberated by a
Allied troops, which is how we know of this incident today.
The difference between people in the German news media in 1943 and people in the Arizona news media today is that people in the German news media had no choice but to publish party propaganda if they wanted to continue living. We have freedom of the press in Arizona. People in the news media here publish party propaganda because they want to publish party propaganda. Do not expect people in the news media to publish the truth regarding independent voters. They are paid to publish party propaganda by party politicians who take money from public revenues for that purpose.
