New York: Independence Party - the good, the bad, and the ugly

Hats off to IP Staten Island chair Sarah Lyons (the Good) for outstanding grassroots organizing in the face of a seemingly endless series of illegal moves by an oppositional faction led by politician-wannabe Frank Morano (the Bad). And what's all this going on in Westchester between state leadership, county leadership and Nader Sayegh????? (the Ugly?)

Two more Independence Party primaries are in the making after another round of candidate endorsements by the borough organization.
Party chair Sarah Lyons said the party's executive committee has cross-endorsed Democrat Kim Dollard to run for a vacant boroughwide Civil Court seat, a move that sets up a potential primary with former Family Court Judge Ralph Porzio. Porzio, a Republican, has been endorsed by a party faction led by Frank Morano....
