Minnesota: Major parties offer "nothing to more independent-minded voters"

From the Pioneer Press:
Tim Penny, the 2002 Independence Party gubernatorial candidate who drew 16 percent of the vote, suggested each candidate would have trouble in the general election. His party is expected to get behind Peter Hutchinson, a policy consultant and a cabinet member in the last DFL administration.
"This is a set of options that offer nothing to more independent-minded voters," said Penny, a former Democratic congressman. "It doesn't matter much from our perspective who comes out of the convention with the endorsement."...

Actually one of Minnesota's major partys does offer something as the Independence Party is a Major Party in Minnesota.
