I don't think Joseph Reisert gets it -- he tells independent voters to join parties so that those self-perpetuating special-interest conglomerates become more centrist.... What he doesn't get is that the parties ARE centrist - it's the voters that are diverse in opinion and cooperative in attitude!
Meanwhile, independent gov candidates Barbara Merrill and John Michael, Maine Green Independent Party candidate Pat LaMarche struggle for name recognition....
